Trumbull County Children Services provides a number of services to Trumbull County residents including:
Services
Crisis Intervention
We protect children and help families during critical times with immediate Agency assistance or information and referral services24-hours a day.
We identify and build on family strengths to keep kids safe and families together.
Strength-Based Assessments
Family Support Services
We offer practical training to families on how to manage their home and children.
Investigative Services
We provide specially trained social workers to protect children and work closely with law enforcement to investigate serious cases of physical and sexual abuse.
Casework Services
We provide in-home child protective services to families who need help in providing adequate care and supervision of their children.
Independent Living Services
We provide guidance and support for youth who are fourteen and older.
Permanency Planning
We assist families to make planned, permanent living arrangements for their children.
Foster Care & Family to Family
We place children in licensed foster families who will care for them until they can return home. We make strong efforts to place children in familiar surroundings, within their own neighborhood. We encourage relationship building between birth families and foster families.
Adoption
We provide birth parent counseling, recruitment, placement services and adoption services by assessor-trained social workers.
Ombudsperson
Services
We listen to your questions and concerns and try to resolve conflicts that may arise as services are provided.
Parenting Education
We teach parents how to establish effective child nurturing routines and discipline.
Residential Care
Therapeutic placement and group living opportunities are available for children who are experiencing emotional problems
